Smaug by dmano13201

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent leads a mono-red Treasure-and-Dragon deck built around one rule: every attack and artifact turns into mana, reach, and extra combats. The primary plan is to generate a critical mass of Treasures, then use Smaug's haste attack trigger as repeatable direct damage, converting Treasures into additional combat phases with Aggravated Assault, Scourge of the Throne, Full Throttle, or Great Train Heist. With The Reaver Cleaver equipped, each combat refunds the Assault activation, creating an infinite-combat kill. Secondary paths are dragon beatdown (Cavern-Hoard Dragon, Goldlust Triad) and damage multiplication (Fiery Emancipation, Insult // Injury). There is no face-down commander; 'There and Back Again' acts as a hidden Smaug token/backup.
