Abzan Self-Mill Reanimator by lordofkhaos

Format: Commander

Commander: Karador, Ghost Chieftain

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Abzan midrange reanimator strategy helmed by Karador, Ghost Chieftain. The deck mills and self-discards to stock the graveyard, then reanimates high-impact creatures such as Archon of Cruelty, Ashen Rider, Craterhoof Behemoth, and Zetalpa, Primal Dawn. Karador, Ghost Chieftain discounts himself based on creature cards in the graveyard and provides a once-per-turn cast-from-graveyard engine, turning every removal spell and sacrifice into card advantage. Primary wins come from combat: keyword-laden boards via Kathril, Aspect Warper, overrun effects from Craterhoof Behemoth or Moonshaker Cavalry, and recursive value from Eerie Ultimatum and Colossal Grave-Reaver. The deck plays a grindy, attrition-based game that out-values opponents through repeated reanimation rather than infinite combos.
