Deck overview

This mono-black kindred deck centers on Madame Masque to convert recurring card draw into a wide army of 2/1 menace Villain tokens. The primary game plan curves into consistent 'draw-two' enablers—utilizing cheap sacrifice-draw instants like Deadly Dispute and Village Rites alongside steady engines like Black Market Connections and Phyrexian Arena. Each extra draw triggers Madame Masque, assembling an elusive menace board state across Turns 4 and 5. Once a token squad is established, the deck pivots into mass overrun artifacts including Coat of Arms, Banner of Kinship, and Akroma's Memorial. These anthems scale Villain power rapidly, allowing unblockable or evasive combat swings to eliminate opponents over two attack cycles around Turn 9. Supported by efficient mono-black creature removal and asymmetric sweepers like Toxic Deluge, the deck maintains board control while continually replenishing its hand from dying tokens.
