Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes Yargle and Multani as a massive 18-power centerpiece to execute explosive combat kills and power-scaling payoffs. The game plan accelerates mana through a dense suite of 1-to-2 mana dorks and ramp spells, establishing an operational board by Turn 4. Once the 18/6 commander lands, the deck transitions immediately into a critical threat on Turn 5. It leverages the commander's sheer stats through burst draw spells like Disciple of Bolas and Lifestream's Blessing, direct burn like Essence Harvest, and trample overruns via Garruk's Uprising and Overwhelming Stampede. Although the primary win line relies on single-target combat eliminations across two response cycles to finish the table by Turn 7, the 99 contains redundant high-power threats like Daemogoth Titan and Ghalta, Primal Hunger that maintain pressure if the commander is removed. Lacking stack interaction and stax, the deck focuses entirely on proactive board development, efficient permanent removal, and instant-speed hexproof protection.
