WOLF by esgra1

Format: Commander

Commander: Chief of the Wilds

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Built around Chief of the Wilds, this is a Golgari Wolf-tribal token/combat deck. The commander doubles every triggered ability of another Wolf or battle and grows bigger whenever a Wolf enters, so the engine is built on repeated trigger multiplication: Wolf-token producers like Hollowhenge Overlord, Master of the Wild Hunt, Chief Warg's Company, and Nightpack Ambusher turn upkeep and end-step events into avalanches of 2/2s. Doubling Season and Parallel Lives amplify the tokens, while Urza's Incubator, Herald's Horn, Vanquisher's Banner, and Chronicle of Victory smooth casting. The deck closes with anthem/overrun effects: Beastmaster Ascension, Unnatural Growth, Return of the Wildspeaker, Banner of Kinship, and the emblem from Garruk, Cursed Huntsman. It also uses battles-Invasion of Ikoria, Invasion of Shandalar, and Invasion of Zendikar-as tutor/value layers that double under the commander. This is a midrange combat deck, not a fast combo deck, with a recursion subtheme for grind and recovery.
