Deck overview

This deck is a four-color Group Hug and Pillowfort control strategy helmed by Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis. The game plan revolves around accelerating the entire table's mana and card draw while establishing defensive barriers that make attacking you prohibitively expensive. Early turns focus on deploying symmetrical draw engines such as Howling Mine and Dictate of Kruphix, alongside attack taxes like Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and The Second Doctor. By feeding opponents cards, the deck pacifies the table and fuels its own explosive payoffs. The primary win condition is casting Approach of the Second Sun, quickly redrawing it with abundant draw triggers, and recasting it for an outright victory. Alternatively, the deck can assemble the Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Curiosity combo or generate overwhelming mana with Smothering Tithe and Wheel of Fortune. Dense instant-speed removal, free countermagic like Fierce Guardianship, and turn-ending protection like Silence ensure safe execution.
