Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis kindred strategy built around Loki, the Deceiver and a roster of Marvel-themed Villain creatures. The primary game plan curves early mana rocks into low-cost Villains, setting up Loki on Turn 4. When Loki attacks, he creates a temporary attacking copy of another Villain, doubling entry triggers, connive effects, and combat presence while drawing extra cards whenever Villains deal combat damage to players. The deck scales its board presence using +1/+1 counter engines like Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon and Leader, Super-Genius, wide token generation from Mysterio, Master of Illusion, and anthem buffs from The Squadron Sinister. Direct damage from Impact Tremors, Crossbones, Malicious Mercenary, and aristocrat drain effects supplements combat steps to close out games by Turn 8. A balanced interaction package of removal, counterspells, and asymmetric bounce with Raise the Palisade protects the board and clears paths for lethal attacks.
