Deck overview

This four-color midrange deck is led by The Thing and built around cast triggers from noncreature spells and Hero creature synergies. The game plan focuses on deploying early mana rocks and land ramp on Turns 1 through 3, then casting The Thing on Turn 5. By casting a noncreature spell before combat each turn, the commander receives four +1/+1 counters, growing into a massive trampling threat. When The Thing attacks, paying {R}{G}{W}{U} doubles those counters to present lethal commander damage in one or two hits per player. Supporting Heroes such as Mister Fantastic, Human Torch, and Franklin Richards, Ascendant provide secondary card draw, board scaling, and impulse discovery. While the deck boasts explosive combat power and broad removal options, its reliance on combat damage over multiple turns leaves it vulnerable to targeted removal and board wipes.
