Deck overview

This deck is a Bant +1/+1 counters midrange engine led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost, counter-distributing creatures and utilizing Tidus to shift counters and trigger repeated card draw and proliferation upon connecting in combat. The mana curve is accelerated by scalable mana dorks such as Incubation Druid and Gyre Sage, enabling rapid deployment of compounding value engines like Forgotten Ancient, Fathom Mage, and Doubling Season. Once the board accumulates significant power, the deck pivots into a decisive win condition through evasion enablers such as Herald of Secret Streams and Abzan Falconer, or explosive overruns like Overwhelming Stampede and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus. Defensively, the deck protects its board through efficient stack interaction and protective instants including Heroic Intervention and Inspiring Call, while Aura Shards provides continuous asymmetric removal against opposing utility permanents.
