Duel Tourach by TitoDope

Format: Commander

Commander: Tourach, Dread Cantor

Bracket: 4

DeckCheck Threat Index: 41

Deck overview

This mono-black attrition deck leverages Tourach, Dread Cantor alongside symmetrical discard spells to systematically strip opposing hands while converting discards into insurmountable board presence and resource advantages. By combining each-player discard spells like Delirium Skeins and Dark Deal with asymmetric payoffs like Waste Not and Tourach, the deck rapidly depletes opposing interaction and leaves opponents topdecking. Tourach quickly grows into a lethal, high-power attacker with built-in protection from white, while continuous tax pieces like Oppression ensure opponents struggle to recover. In the mid-to-late game, the deck transitions from hand denial into decisive finishes using massive Cabal Coffers mana into Torment of Hailfire, Gary devotion drains, or lethal commander damage enabled by Shizo, Death's Storehouse.
