Deck overview

This Temur deck is an aggressive Voltron-midrange strategy helmed by Pako, Arcane Retriever and Haldan, Avid Arcanist. The game plan accelerates mana on Turns 1 and 2 using dense low-cost ramp to deploy Pako on Turn 3 or 4. Thanks to native haste, Pako attacks immediately, exiling the top card of every player's library with fetch counters while growing into a massive lethal threat. Haldan, Avid Arcanist converts this exiled pool into an expansive secondary hand, allowing you to cast opponents' noncreature spells and play extra lands to fuel further development. The deck protects its primary threat through an extensive package of cheap instant-speed protection, counterspells, and evasion auras. Lethal finishes are achieved by scaling commander damage, taking extra turns with Time Warp and Capture of Jingzhou, taking extra combats with Seize the Day, or resolving asymmetric board wipes like Chandra's Ignition and Cyclonic Rift.
