Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari attrition and poison strategy led by The Serpent Society. It leverages a dense suite of low-cost deathtouch creatures to control combat and establish heavy board pressure. When your deathtouch creatures die in combat or through sacrifice outlets, the commander forces each opponent to sacrifice a nontoken creature, creating severe asymmetric attrition. The primary win condition revolves around applying poison counters through Fynn, the Fangbearer, Venerated Rotpriest, and Vraska's Fall, which turn every unblocked deathtouch creature into a lethal clock. The commander protects itself with an oppressive Ward cost of five poison counters, making early spot removal catastrophic for opponents. Card advantage from Glissa Sunslayer, Ohran Frostfang, and Chevill, Bane of Monsters sustains resources while graveyard recursion ensures long-term endurance.
