Commander: Radagast of Rhosgobel

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a boarding-cost mana strategy piloted by Radagast of Rhosgobel. The primary game plan is to deploy early land acceleration and mana dorks, and then use a mix of cost reducers that target colorless spells or creature type to power out huge Eldrazi or powerful green threats like Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger or Old Gnawbone. The commander contributes an additional two-manah reduction on the first creature each turn and gives flash, making the deck's threats flexible and resistant to timing. Victory is achieved through overwhelming combat damage from annihilator-enabled Eldrazi, with mass card advantage from engine like Up the Beanstalk or The Great Henge and triggered duplication from Echoes of Eternity. There is a single extra-turn card in Emprakul, the Promised End but the deck lacks a aggressive speed - it relies on raw mana and creature superiority to grind out games.
