Wolf them down by JFC

Commander: Chief of the Wilds

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 41

Deck overview

This Golgari deck is centered around Chief of the Wilds, leveraging Wolf typal synergies, triggered ability duplication, and +1/+1 counter scaling. The primary plan accelerates into the commander by turn 3, followed by high-impact Wolf generators like Tovolar's Huntmaster, Hollowhenge Overlord, and Chief Warg's Company. Because the commander doubles all triggered abilities from other Wolves, token generation and counter accumulation double rapidly, swelling Chief of the Wilds into a massive menace threat while flooding the board with 2/2 Wolves. The deck supports this aggressive swarm with robust draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and The Great Henge, efficient Golgari removal, and instant-speed protection like Heroic Intervention. Victory is typically achieved between turns 6 and 7 through combat overruns such as Triumph of the Hordes, Beastmaster Ascension, or Unnatural Growth.
