Deck overview

This Temur deck uses Xyris, the Writhing Storm to turn mass-draw spells into huge token swarms and lethal burn damage. Early turns focus on ramping into a turn 4 Xyris using cheap ramp spells like Farseek and Arcane Signet. Once Xyris is on the battlefield, resolving symmetric draw spells like Windfall, Wheel of Misfortune, or Reforge the Soul forces three opponents to draw seven cards each. This immediately creates 21 green Snake tokens. When paired with enter-the-battlefield damage outlets like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, or Witty Roastmaster, a single wheel deals 21 to 42 damage directly to each opponent. The deck features deep redundancy across both wheel effects and burn pieces, enabling rapid, explosive finishes. While vulnerable to well-timed creature removal in response to wheels, the list backs up its strategy with protective spells, countermagic, and alternate token engines like The Locust God.
