Deck overview

This Orzhov Aristocrats deck is led by Teysa Karlov, designed to drain the table through a dense network of death triggers and sacrifice outlets. The core strategy revolves around creating disposable creature tokens with cards like Ophiomancer, Elenda, the Dusk Rose, and Doomed Traveler, or looping recursive creatures such as Forsaken Miner and Reassembling Skeleton. Sacrificing these creatures to free outlets like Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, and Viscera Seer generates substantial mana velocity, scry selection, and board control. As creatures perish, payoffs including Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance drain opposing life totals. Teysa Karlov doubles every dying trigger, converting moderate board states into lethal bursts of damage. Supported by robust card draw from Skullclamp and Grim Haruspex, along with targeted removal and board wipes like Split Up, the deck steadily grinds down the opposition before executing a decisive, multi-trigger closing turn.
