Commander: Shalai and Hallar

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Naya +1/+1 counters deck is helmed by Shalai and Hallar, turning every counter placed on a creature into direct damage. The strategy revolves around deploying cheap mana dorks and ramp, casting the commander early, then layering counter-doubling effects (Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Conclave Mentor) to rapidly escalate the commander's trigger. Secondary win conditions include All Will Be One (converting counters into burn), Mayael's Aria (a creature with power 20+), and combat beats from massive tramplers like Kalonian Hydra. The deck lacks infinite combos, relying instead on incremental value and explosive counter bursts to overwhelm opponents.
