Elven Poison by MaddAlfie

Format: Commander

Commander: High Perfect Morcant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Elf tribal midrange deck helmed by High Perfect Morcant that layers -1/-1 counter blight, proliferate, and poison pressure on top of a classic go-wide Elf swarm. Every Elf ETB (including tokens) forces each opponent to blight, steadily weakening their board while feeding payoffs like Flourishing Defenses, Obelisk Spider, Blowfly Infestation, and Crumbling Ashes. The commander's tap-three-Elves proliferate ability, backed by Evolution Sage, Contagion Clasp, Contagion Engine, and Tromell, Seymour's Butler, turns those counters and any poison into an inevitable clock. Primary wins come from a critical-mass combat swing (Craterhoof Behemoth, Triumph of the Hordes), poison finishers (Tyrranax Rex, Grafted Exoskeleton, Phyresis Outbreak), or life-drain outlets (Lathril, Blade of the Elves, Skemfar Shadowsage, Poison-Tip Archer). The deck plays as a resilient value engine that grinds opponents out through attrition and tribal synergy rather than a single explosive combo turn.
