Deck overview

Avatar Roku, Firebender commands a mono-red forced combat and goad deck designed to turn multiplayer combat into a relentless resource engine. Whenever any player attacks, Avatar Roku generates six red mana, fueling repeated +3/+0 power boosts or instant-speed interaction during combat. The deck leverages goad engines like Disrupt Decorum, Geode Rager, and Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos to force opponents into attacking each other, clearing away potential blockers while whittling down life totals. Mana retention pieces such as Leyline Tyrant and Ashling, Flame Dancer allow Roku's burst mana to carry across phases, unlocking explosive post-combat plays with Aggravated Assault or devastating burn via Crackle with Power. While the deck boasts high redundancy in forced-combat effects, it relies heavily on its six-mana commander to close games. A lack of generic card advantage and limited stack interaction make the deck vulnerable to well-timed spot removal and pillowfort enchantments, but uninterrupted boards rapidly overwhelm tables through compounding combat damage.
