Disa the Goyf by blackcry

Format: Commander

Commander: Disa the Restless

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck centers around Disa the Restless as a Jund Lhurgoyf commander. The primary game plan revolves around filling all graveyards with a variety of card types to make Lhurgoyf creatures enormous, then using Disa's triggered ability ("Whenever a Lhurgoyf permanent card is put into your graveyard from anywhere other than the battlefield, put it onto the battlefield") to repeatedly reanimate key pieces. The secondary ability creates a variable-sized Tarmogoyf token each time a creature deals combat damage, building board presence over multiple combats. The deck operates less as a compact combo and more as a grinding engine that uses massive creatures with trample and multiple combat phases (via Moraug, Fury of Akoum and Bloodthirster) to overwhelm opponents. Conviction and Maskwood Nexus ensure that all changelings share the Lhurgoyf type, unlocking the commander's first ability on a broader range of threats.
