Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. It focuses on generating massive swarms of 2/2 Zombie tokens, boosting them with tribal lords, and draining opponents through aristocrat payoffs. In the early turns, the deck sets up mana rocks and utility zombies such as Cryptbreaker, Diregraf Colossus, and Undead Augur. It deploys Gisa on Turn 4 or 5, untapping to sacrifice high-power creatures and flood the battlefield with tokens. Payoffs like Undead Warchief, Death Baron, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel convert token numbers into rapid lethal damage. The deck features strong graveyard recursion and persistent creature board suppression through Noxious Ghoul and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet. However, it lacks dedicated instant-speed protection, countermagic, and artifact removal, leaving its commander and token army reliant on surviving opponent removal cycles to secure victory.
