Deck overview

This deck is a highly synergistic +1/+1 counter and token sacrifice combo deck helmed by Ghave, Guru of Spores. The primary game plan revolves around generating infinite mana, infinite creature tokens, and infinite death triggers using Ghave's activated abilities combined with mana altars and undying creatures. The deck builds a dense undergrowth of mana dorks, counter synergies, and token producers, then pivots to a combo finish using drain outlets like Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat. Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar are the lynchpins, while Hardened Scales, Conclave Mentor, and Cathars' Crusade supercharge counter generation. Secondary win conditions include a massive Exsanguinate or a Syr Konrad, the Grim mill/drain loop. The deck is fast, layered, and punishingly consistent once Ghave is on the battlefield.
