Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Midrange Reanimator deck built around Sauron, Lord of the Rings. It focuses on ramping during the early turns with artifacts and landcycling cards, developing into high-impact mid-game plays. The deck leverages Wraith tribal synergies with multiple Nazgûl and Lord of the Nazgûl while filling the graveyard to prepare large reanimation targets. On Turn 6, casting the 8-mana commander provides an immediate board presence by creating a 5/5 Orc Army, milling cards, and returning a massive creature like Inferno Titan or Cavern-Hoard Dragon directly to the battlefield. The deck wins by grinding down opponents through combat damage across multiple attack steps, supported by mass reanimation spells such as Living Death and direct damage from Warstorm Surge. While it possesses strong board resilience and recursion, its reliance on combat damage over multiple turn cycles makes it vulnerable to board wipes and heavy interaction.
