Deck overview

Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic leads a Dimir control and reanimation strategy that turns graveyards into versatile toolboxes. By copying the most potent creature on the battlefield or in any graveyard at the start of each main phase, Taskmaster adapts seamlessly to any board state. The deck focuses on self-mill, looting, and targeted removal to stock graveyards with devastating threats. Its primary win condition pairs Psychosis Crawler with Peer into the Abyss to drain the table in one massive draw step. Secondary win paths include life-draining mill chains using Syr Konrad, the Grim with Mindcrank, or resolving a game-ending Rise of the Dark Realms.
