Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Golgari aristocrats/reanimator deck built around Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The primary plan is to turn creature deaths into tokens, mana, cards, and life loss through overlapping sacrifice payoffs, then use Meren's experience-counter end step trigger to rebuy the best creature every turn. The fastest wins come from persist loops: Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest cancels the -1/-1 counter left by Putrid Goblin, Woodfall Primus or Puppeteer Clique, while Pawn of Ulamog, Sifter of Skulls or Pitiless Plunderer supplies fuel and Ashnod's Altar or Altar of Dementia turns the loop into infinite mana, mill, or death triggers, finished by Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat or Marionette Apprentice. The secondary path is attrition and combat: Tendershoot Dryad Saprolings, Living Death, and Meren's slow grind toward a dominant board.
