Sloppy Joes - Food From Universes Beyond! by user1809021

Format: Commander

Commander: Leonardo, the Balance and Michelangelo, the Heart

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck leverages partners Leonardo, the Balance (WUBRG) and Michelangelo, the Heart (1G) to execute a Food token and +1/+1 counter strategy. The primary game plan involves generating a critical mass of Food tokens through over a dozen dedicated producers (e.g., Samwise Gamgee, Peregrin Took, Gyome, Master Chef), then converting them into mana, card advantage, and massive combat threats. Academy Manufactor triples token generation, while Doubling Season and Kami of Whispered Hopes supercharge counter placement. Combat is the primary win condition, with Uncivil Unrest delivering double damage and Aragorn, Hornburg Hero doubling counters on renowned creatures. The deck lacks traditional infinite combos; its only potential non-combat enabler is Food Chain, but no dedicated outlet (e.g., Misthollow Griffin) is present. Commanders are synergistic but replaceable, as the core engine runs without them.
