Deck overview

This Grixis Spellslinger Combo deck harnesses Fire Lord Azula to double every instant and sorcery cast during combat. The primary game plan accelerates into an early Azula deployment on Turn 3 using low-cost mana rocks like Talisman of Creativity and Izzet Signet. On Turn 4, Azula attacks, generating {R}{R} via Firebending and unlocking her spell-copying engine. During combat, casting untap spells such as Turnabout or rituals like Seething Song doubles their mana output, quickly providing the resources needed to launch infinite loops. The deck achieves instant-speed table kills by pairing Turnabout with Reiterate or Narset's Reversal to generate infinite mana, then infinitely copying burn spells such as Lightning Bolt, Lightning Strike, or Comet Storm. A rich suite of cheap cantrips and specific tutors ensures high consistency, while Ferocious-enabled protection spells like Stubborn Denial and Bolt Bend safeguard the combo. If Azula is removed, backup engines like Thousand-Year Storm and Past in Flames ensure the deck can still storm off effectively.
