Arixmethes by user4530542

Format: Commander

Commander: Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Arixmethes is a ramp-plus-beater: while asleep it taps for {G}{U}, and five spells wake it into a 12/12 Kraken. The deck accelerates into Arixmethes, chains cheap cantrips and draw spells to remove slumber counters, then uses untap enchantments such as Freed from the Real or Pemmin's Aura to produce infinite green mana. Backup lines are Isochron Scepter with Dramatic Reversal and Deadeye Navigator with Peregrine Drake. Outlets include Walking Ballista, Rocket Launcher, Staff of Domination, Helix Pinnacle, and Laboratory Maniac. There is no hidden commander; Arixmethes is both the mana engine and the primary creature.
