Murder War Cult by user2395235

Format: Commander

Commander: Bhaal, Lord of Murder

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Bhaal, Lord of Murder leads a Jund aristocrats/goad value deck. The plan is to deploy cheap fodder creatures, sacrifice them to instant-speed outlets, and use each nontoken death to grow and goad Bhaal or a chosen threat while drawing cards and draining opponents. Recursion engines such as Meren, Bloodghast, Death Tyrant and The Cauldron of Eternity keep the sacrifice fodder flowing. Ziatora, Mahadi and Agent of the Iron Throne turn those deaths into treasure and life loss. The deck has no infinite combo; it wins by incremental attrition, commander damage from a pumped Bhaal, and political goading. Bhaal is the sole commander; the Background legends in the 99 are value pieces, not a hidden commander. It is resilient but vulnerable to stack interaction and mass removal.
