Deck overview

This Esper Midrange deck is commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed, turning every noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater into a table-wide swing of 2 damage to each opponent and 2 life gained. The list is engineered to maximize this trigger by loading up on 3-CMC utility artifacts, enchantments, and versatile interaction spells. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and resolving Y'shtola by Turn 4. From there, the deck accrues substantial card advantage through Rhystic Study, The One Ring, and Y'shtola's end-step draw trigger. In the mid-to-late game, the deck accelerates toward a win using Grafted Exoskeleton to convert spell triggers into lethal poison counters, Helm of the Ghastlord to strip opposing hands, Simulacrum Synthesizer to build massive Construct armies, or Armageddon to seal an asymmetric mana lock. A robust interaction suite protects the game plan and keeps fast opponents in check.
