Deck overview

Witherbloom, the Balancer is the engine of a token-ramp combo deck. The primary plan is to build a wide creature board, cast Witherbloom heavily discounted by its own affinity, then use its affinity-for-creatures ability to loop Sprout Swarm with buyback for a single green mana while Mirkwood Bats drains the table. Secondary paths are a trampling token beatdown with Garruk's Uprising and Return of the Wildspeaker, a huge X-spell finish with Exsanguinate or Gelatinous Genesis powered by Cryptolith Rite or Springleaf Parade, and a recursion grind through Meren, Cauldron of Essence, and Rise of the Dark Realms. There is no hidden commander; every non-commander card either feeds the token count or supports the drain/combo plan.
