Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis typal midrange strategy led by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. It focuses on assembling an army of Villain creatures, triggering connive each combat to sculpt your hand, grow your board with +1/+1 counters, and burn opponents whenever land cards are discarded. The early game establishes mana development through low-cost artifacts and cost-reducing Villains like Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord. By Turn 4, Doctor Doom enters to start filtering cards and applying evasive pressure with menace. The midgame compounds this advantage through token producers like Ultron, Unlimited and Mysterio, Master of Illusion, while Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon and Archfiend of Ifnir turn discard triggers into devastating board buffs and asymmetric wipes. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide, evasive combat damage backed by direct life drain and efficient interaction.
