Deck overview

This deck combines classic Golgari Elfball velocity with a punishing -1/-1 counter and proliferate engine helmed by High Perfect Morcant. In the opening turns, low-cost mana dorks accelerate deployment, allowing Morcant to land on turn 4. Every Elf that enters forces each opponent to blight their own creatures, steadily degrading opposing boards while feeding Morcant's proliferate engine. The deck wins through multiple overlapping avenues: an overwhelming combat overrun with Triumph of the Hordes, rapid poison accumulation via Fynn, the Fangbearer and proliferate triggers, direct life drain from Lathril, Blade of the Elves, or an infinite creature-death loop using Blowfly Infestation and Flourishing Defenses. Asymmetric attrition tools like Crumbling Ashes maintain total creature suppression while your mana and card advantage compound. The deck operates 1 to 2 turns ahead of curve, presenting lethal board states on turn 5 and consistently finishing the table by turn 7.
