black reanimator (k'rrik, son of yawgmoth) by seBsta

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth converts black pips into life payments, letting this mono-black deck cast its expensive reanimation and drain spells ahead of curve. The primary plan is a deterministic Buried Alive loop: mill Chainer, Dimir House Guard, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel, reanimate Chainer, then repeatedly reanimate Gray Merchant while K'rrik pays the black costs with life; each Gary trigger is net life-positive and eventually deals 40 damage to each opponent. A secondary Necrotic Ooze/Asmodeus/Skirge Familiar line fuels a huge Exsanguinate, while Aetherflux Reservoir and extort give grind fallbacks. There is no hidden commander; both the acceleration and the loop revolve around K'rrik.
