Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Teval, the Balanced Scale, blending graveyard self-mill, landfall acceleration, and token generation into a resilient midrange shell. The core plan accelerates on Turns 1 and 2 with efficient ramp spells before deploying Teval on Turn 3 or 4. Attacking with Teval continuously mills cards, ramps lands directly from the graveyard to the battlefield, and generates 2/2 Zombie Druid creature tokens whenever cards leave the graveyard. The deck leverages heavy functional redundancy with backup engines like The Gitrog Monster, Muldrotha, the Gravetide, and Six to fill the graveyard rapidly. Between Turns 6 and 7, the accumulated creature and token density is converted into a decisive table elimination through mass reanimation spells like Living Death or explosive overruns featuring Craterhoof Behemoth and Avenger of Zendikar. With deep recursion and low-cost removal, the deck shrugs off attrition while grinding down opponents.
