Gollum Monoblack Drain by user4561703

Format: Commander

Commander: Gollum, Obsessed Stalker

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black life-gain/drain deck is helmed by Gollum, Obsessed Stalker, a cheap 1/1 with skulk that makes it nearly unblockable. The primary plan is to gain life through extort triggers, lifelink creatures, and spells like Exsanguinate, then convert that life into one-sided drain via Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, and the commander's end-step trigger. Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast provide explosive black mana to fuel X-spell finishers, while recursion pieces like Moseo, Vein's New Dean and Witch of the Moors keep the value train running. The deck wins by cumulative life-swing rather than infinite combos, grinding out opponents with incremental effects before landing a massive Exsanguinate or a commander-triggered life-loss turn.
