Athreos Shadowborn Apostles by Monkeybomber

Format: Commander

Commander: Athreos, God of Passage

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Athreos, God of Passage helms a relentless aristocrats strategy powered by a dense swarm of Shadowborn Apostles. The game plan focuses on deploying Apostles rapidly, using Athreos to force opponents into costly life-loss decisions whenever a creature dies. Once six Apostles are assembled, they sacrifice together to cheat massive Demons like Razaketh, the Foulblooded directly onto the battlefield. From there, the deck transitions into devastating engine loops with Edgewalker, Thrumming Stone, or mass reanimation like Angel of Glory's Rise. The ultimate win condition drains the table using Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bontu's Monument, or a massive Tendrils of Agony storm finish.
