Izzet by Davik

Format: Commander

Commander: Niv-Mizzet, Parun

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Izzet spellslinger deck built around Niv-Mizzet, Parun, whose uncounterable body turns every instant and sorcery into a card drawn and a point of damage. The primary win condition is the iconic Niv-Mizzet, Parun + Curiosity loop: once Curiosity is attached, any draw trigger chains into infinite pings that can be distributed to eliminate all three opponents. The deck backs this with a dense magecraft payoff suite - Guttersnipe, Electrostatic Field, Exalted Flamer of Tzeentch, and Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph amplifying every 1-damage ping - plus token generation from Young Pyromancer, Talrand, Sky Summoner, and Third Path Iconoclast. Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind in the 99 provides a redundant combo piece. The deck plays a draw-go-ish game, chaining cantrips and draw spells to dig for Curiosity while burning the table down.
