Deck overview

This deck uses Ob Nixilis, Unshackled as a large flying threat and punishes opponents when they search their libraries. Its broader plan is to combine creature removal, discard, and board attrition with cards such as Archfiend of Depravity, Tinybones, Trinket Thief, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Sol Ring and a few slower ramp effects help cast the expensive creatures, but the mana base is lean and the deck has little redundancy for its key cards. The strongest repeatable restriction is Archfiend of Depravity, which limits each opponent to two creatures without limiting the controller's board. That effect is useful but not a lock. The deck has no reliable combo, no compact table-kill route, and no dependable protection package. It is best suited to slower games where removal, discard, and creature combat can accumulate value. Opponents with strong noncreature engines, graveyard resilience, or efficient stack interaction are difficult to stop.
