Deck overview

This mono-red spellslinger deck centers on Gandalf, Goblins' Bane, aiming to burn out all three opponents simultaneously through noncombat damage. The early game focuses on deploying Gandalf or low-cost pingers like Firebrand Archer and Kindlespark Duo, supported by Gandalf's adventure half, Flameshape, to bank impulse card advantage. By Turns 4 and 5, the deck cycles cheap burn, cantrips, and impulse draw to chip away at life totals. On Turn 6, the deck lands a damage multiplier like Thor, Asgard's Avenger or Fiendish Duo, or a heavy threat like Caldera Pyremaw or Chandra's Incinerator. This escalates each cast trigger into massive table-wide damage, closing the game around Turn 8 through combined burn and combat. The deck features strong pinger redundancy, but lacks dedicated tutors, stack interaction, enchantment removal, and protection spells, making it vulnerable to well-timed removal and board wipes.
