Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet spellslinger deck led by Speedball, New Warrior. Speedball turns every targeted spell into a +2/+2 buff while allowing you to change the target of any spell that targets him. This makes opponent single-target removal backfire while supercharging your own low-cost pump spells and cantrips like Pym Particles, Shadow Rift, and Psychotic Fury. As you cast cheap instants and sorceries, token generators such as Third Path Iconoclast and Namor the Sub-Mariner widen your board presence. Magecraft engines like Storm-Kiln Artist and Archmage Emeritus maintain your mana and card flow. The deck delivers fast commander damage knockouts on individual players before closing the game across the table with extra combats from Overpowering Attack or massive team-wide pump from Surge to Victory and Balmor, Battlemage Captain.
