Deck overview

This Boros deck is an aggressive Voltron strategy led by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning combines first strike, trample, and lifelink with the Stagger mechanic, which doubles all damage dealt to an opponent once combat damage connects. The deck uses low-cost Equipment, double strike enablers, and stat boosters to quickly scale commander damage into one-shot lethal thresholds. Supporting creatures such as Cloud, Midgar Mercenary, Puresteel Paladin, and Forge Anew reduce equip costs and tutor key artifacts. High-impact cards like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar and Chandra's Ignition convert single-target commander damage into table-wide lethality, while extra combat spells like Aurelia, the Warleader rapidly close out remaining opponents. A robust defensive package headlined by Sunforger, Dawn's Truce, and Flawless Maneuver protects the commander during critical attack windows.
