Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis tap-out control strategy built around Nicol Bolas, the Ravager // Nicol Bolas, the Arisen and thematic Bolas planeswalkers. The game plan focuses on controlling the early board with cheap interaction, sweeping threats with cards like Toxic Deluge and Crux of Fate, and eroding opponent resources using asymmetric discard and edict effects. In the mid-to-late game, the deck accelerates into powerful engines such as Nicol Bolas, the Arisen, Bolas's Citadel, and The Scarab God. Victory is achieved by resolving high-impact mass reanimation spells like Breach the Multiverse and Command the Dreadhorde, or by executing a game-ending Torment of Hailfire. While the deck lacks fast combo lines and free countermagic, its dense suite of removal, high card advantage, and formidable late-game threats allow it to outvalue and outlast three opponents across prolonged multiplayer games.
