Deck overview

Azami, Lady of Scrolls heads a mono-blue Wizard tribal control deck that converts every Wizard permanent into immediate, repeatable card draw. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost Wizards, developing lands, and filtering through the library with efficient cantrips. On Turn 5, casting Azami immediately draws multiple cards without mana cost or summoning sickness restrictions. This influx of resources fuels a dense suite of 13 or more counterspells and protective interaction. On Turn 6, the deck transitions into a controlling endgame by deploying lock pieces like Patron Wizard and Galecaster Colossus or advancing direct win conditions such as Triskaidekaphile, Psychosis Crawler, and Thassa's Oracle. Opponents are systematically taxed or bounced off the board while Azami digs for answers and closes the game within one response cycle on Turn 7.
