Commander: Edgar Markov

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a highly tuned Mardu Vampire tribal build helmed by Edgar Markov, leveraging his eminence ability to generate a relentless token army without ever casting him. The primary game plan combines combat-centric anthems (Coat of Arms, Shared Animosity) with life-gain/drain combos such as Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, and Bloodthirsty Conqueror. A robust tutor suite (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Imperial Seal, Enlightened Tutor, Diabolic Intent, Beseech the Mirror) rapidly assembles either the combo or a critical mass of lords. The deck wins through either overwhelming combat damage or a chain of drain triggers, with recursion from Olivia, Crimson Bride, Veinwitch Coven, and Volrath's Stronghold providing resiliency.
