Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes Blech, Loafing Pest to convert repeatable lifegain triggers into rapid +1/+1 counter distribution across a diverse typal army of Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. Supported by dense 0-2 CMC mana acceleration, the deck consistently casts Blech on Turn 3 and begins buffing early drops immediately. Midgame token engines such as Scute Swarm, Springheart Nantuko, and Iridescent Hornbeetle flood the board, which are then modified with counters whenever creatures enter or lands trigger lifegain. The deck converts this wide presence into lethal combat damage by Turn 5-7 using trample enablers like Kodama of the West Tree and overrun effects like Blossoming Bogbeast or Triumph of the Hordes. Efficient free interaction (Force of Vigor, Deadly Rollick) protects development, while the Dina, Soul Steeper and Exquisite Blood combo provides a potent alternative win condition.
