Deck overview

This Boros control deck uses Baeloth Barrityl, Entertainer paired with Noble Heritage to dominate the combat step and turn opponents' creatures against each other. Noble Heritage lands early on Turn 2, allowing Baeloth to enter on Turn 5 as an immediate 4/7 that goads every creature with power 3 or less. As Baeloth accumulates counters each upkeep, its goad threshold expands to encompass virtually all opposing creatures, generating Treasure tokens whenever they perish in combat. The deck accelerates opponent eliminations by gifting tokens via Rite of the Raging Storm and Combat Calligrapher, amplifying damage with Death Kiss and Duelist's Heritage, and maintaining safety behind Orzhov Advokist and Nils, Discipline Enforcer. A Sunforger package offers instant access to removal, protection, and combat tricks, while an alternate Brash Taunter and Guilty Conscience combo provides an instant table kill when combat stalls.
