Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counter midrange and control strategy commanded by The Reaper, King No More. It focuses on spreading -1/-1 counters across opposing creatures to weaken threats, trigger token production, and steal dying creatures. Early turns establish mana and value engines like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, and Generous Patron. In the midgame, casting the commander or deploying cards like Soul Snuffers and Carnifex Demon triggers massive card draw and token swarms. The deck achieves asymmetric board control through Kulrath Knight, which stops opposing creatures with counters from attacking or blocking, and The Reaper, King No More or Necroskitter, which gain control of dying opposing creatures. It closes games around Turn 8 through wide combat attacks with deathtouch tokens and stolen creatures, supplemented by life drain from Obelisk Spider and Massacre Wurm, or an infinite loop with Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs.
