Deck overview

This is a Jund combat-control deck centered on Thantis, the Warweaver. It forces creatures to attack, rewards attacks toward you with counters, and punishes those attacks with effects such as Hissing Miasma, Revenge of Ravens, and Marchesa's Decree. Goad and attack-redirection cards encourage opponents to fight each other while defensive cards protect your life total. The deck also uses large combat payoffs, including Avatar of Slaughter, Beastmaster Ascension, Purphoros, God of the Forge, and Ohran Frostfang. Its mana base and ramp support a normal midrange curve, but many lands enter tapped and the most important spells are expensive. The main weakness is access: there are no tutors, little stack interaction, and no compact win condition. The deck can create chaotic, punishing battlefields, but it does not reliably convert that advantage into a three-player finish.
