The deck protects its life total and board with potent tax pieces and lock synergies, including Drannith Magistrate, Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, the unattackable Island Sanctuary and Mystic Decree lock, and the hand-emptying combo of Narset, Parter of Veils with Teferi's Puzzle Box. High card velocity quickly digs into Approach of the Second Sun, which can be cast on Turn 6, redrawn across a single table rotation, and recast on Turn 7 to win.
